ಆತ್ಮಹತ್ಯೆಗೆ ಪ್ರಚೋದನೆ ನೀಡಿರುವ ಪ್ರಕರಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಮುಂಬೈ ಪೊಲೀಸರಿಂದ ಬಂಧನಕ್ಕೊಳಗಾದ ರಿಪಬ್ಲಿಕ್ ಟಿವಿ ಪ್ರಧಾನ ಸಂಪಾದಕ ಅರ್ನಬ್ ಗೋಸ್ವಾಮಿಯ ಹೇಬಿಯಸ್ ಕಾರ್ಪಸ್ ಅರ್ಜಿಯನ್ನು ಬಾಂಬೆ ಹೈಕೋರ್ಟ್ ನಿನ್ನೆ ಆಲಿಸಿದ್ದು, ವಿಚಾರಣೆಯನ್ನು ಇಂದು ಮಧ್ಯಾಹ್ನ 12 ಗಂಟೆಗೆ ಮುಂದೂಡಿದೆ.
ಅರ್ನಬ್ ಅರ್ಜಿ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿ ಒಂದು ದಿನದೊಳಗಾಗಿ ವಿಚಾರಣೆ ನಡೆದಿದ್ದು, ಕಾಶ್ಮೀರದಲ್ಲಿ ಸುಮಾರು 600 ಹೇಬಿಯಸ್ ಕಾರ್ಪಸ್ ಅರ್ಜಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ 99% ಅರ್ಜಿಗಳು ಒಂದು ವರ್ಷಕ್ಕಿಂತ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಸಮಯದಿಂದ ಬಾಕಿ ಇದೆ. ಇದನ್ನು ಹಲವಾರು ಜನರು ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಜಾಲತಾಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಶ್ನಿಸಿದ್ದು, “ಕೆಲವು ಜನರು ಇತರರಿಗಿಂತ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಸಮಾನರು! ಕಾನೂನಿನ ಮುಂದೆ ಸಮಾನತೆಯ ತತ್ವವನ್ನು ಮರೆತುಬಿಡಿ!” ಎಂದು ಆಕ್ರೋಶ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಪಡಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
