ಭಾರತದ ಮಾಜಿ ಪ್ರಧಾನಿ ಮತ್ತು ಆರ್ಥಿಕ ತಜ್ಞರಾದ ಡಾ.ಮನಮೋಹನ್ ಸಿಂಗ್ ರವರ ನಿವಾಸಕ್ಕೆ ಕಳೆದ ಮೂರು ದಿನಗಳ ಹಿಂದೆಯಷ್ಟೇ ಕೇಂದ್ರದ ನೂತನ ಆರ್ಥ ಸಚಿವರಾದ ನಿರ್ಮಲ ಸೀತಾರಾಮನ್‍ರವರು ಸಹ ಮನಮೋಹನ್ ಸಿಂಗ್ ರವರನ್ನು ಭೇಟಿಯಾಗಿ ಚರ್ಚಿಸಿದ್ದರು.
ಈ ಭೇಟಿಯ ಹಿಂದಿನ ಉದ್ದೇಶ ಮಾತ್ರ ಸ್ಪಷ್ಟವಾಗಿದೆ. ಅದೆಂದರೆ ಭಾರತದ ಆರ್ಥಿಕ ಬೆಳವಣಿಗೆ ದಿನೇ ದಿನೇ ಕುಸಿಯುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಭಾರೀ ಬಹುಮತದಿಂದ ಎನ್.ಡಿ.ಎ ಗೆದ್ದುಬಂದಿದ್ದರೂ ಸಹ ಆರ್ಥಿಕ ಸ್ಥಿತಿಯನ್ನು ಮೇಲೆತ್ತುವಲ್ಲಿ ಈ ಸರ್ಕಾರ ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣವಾಗಿ ವಿಫಲವಾಗಿದೆ. ಈ ಹಿನ್ನೆಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ರಿಜರ್ವ್ ಬ್ಯಾಂಕ್ ಗವರ್ನರ್ ಆಗಿˌ ಪ್ರಧಾನ ಮಂತ್ರಿಗಳ ಆರ್ಥಿಕ ಸಲಹೆಗಾರರಾಗಿˌ ಹಣಕಾಸು ಮಂತ್ರಿಗಳಾಗಿ ಮತ್ತು ಸುದೀರ್ಘ ಒಂದು ದಶಕದ ಅವಧಿಗೆ ದೇಶದ ಪ್ರಧಾನಮಂತ್ರಿಗಳಾಗಿ ಗರಿಷ್ಠ ಮೂರು ದಶಕಗಳಿಗೂ ಹೆಚ್ಚುಕಾಲ ಭಾರತ ದೇಶದ ಆರ್ಥಿಕತೆಗೆ ಕೊಡುಗೆ ನೀಡಿರುವ ಡಾ.ಮನಮೋಹನ್ ಸಿಂಗ್ ರವರ ಸಲಹೆ ಪಡೆಯುವುದು ಈ ಎರಡು ಭೇಟಿಗಳ ಉದ್ದೇಶವಾಗಿತ್ತು.
ಈ ಭೇಟಿಯ ನಂತರ ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಜಾಲತಾಣಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಎಂದಿನಂತೆ ಟ್ರೋಲ್ ಗಳು ಆರಂಭವಾಗಿವೆ. ಈ ಬಾರಿ ಅವು ಬಿಜೆಪಿ ಮತ್ತು ನರೆಂದ್ರ ಮೋದಿಯನ್ನು ಗುರಿ ಮಾಡಿವೆ. ಸತತ ಹದಿನೈದು ವರ್ಷಗಳ ಕಾಲ ಮನಮೋಹನ್ ಸಿಂಗ್ ರವರ ಹಿರಿತನ, ಸೇವೆಯನ್ನು ಪರಿಗಣಿಸದೇ ಅವರ ಮೇಲೆ ನಿಕೃಷ್ಟವಾಗಿ ಟೀಕೆ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದ ಬಿಜೆಪಿ ಈಗ ಕಷ್ಟಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರ ಮನೆ ಬಾಗಿಲಿಗೆ ಹೋಗಬೇಕಾದ ಪರಿಸ್ಥಿತಿ ತಂದುಕೊಂಡಿದೆ ಎಂಬುದು ಆ ಟ್ರೋಲ್ ಗಳ ಸಾರಂಶ.
ಇನ್ನು ಮನಮೋಹನ್ ಸಿಂಗ್ ರವರು ಪ್ರಧಾನಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದ ವೇಳೆ ಅವರನ್ನು ಮೌನಿಬಾಬ, ರಿಮೋಟ್ ಕಂಟ್ರೋಲ್ ಎಂದೆಲ್ಲಾ ಹೀಗಳೆದಿದ್ದ ಬಿಜೆಪಿಯವರು ಕೊನೆಗೆ ಅವರನ್ನು ತೆಗಳಲು “ಆಕ್ಸಿಡೆಂಟಲ್ ಪ್ರೈಮ್ ಮಿನಿಸ್ಟರ್” ಎಂಬ ಸಿನಿಮಾವನ್ನೇ ತಯಾರಿಸಿ ಬಿಡುಗಡೆಗೊಳಿಸುವ ಮಟ್ಟಕ್ಕೆ ಇಳಿದಿದ್ದರು. ಅದಾದ ಕೇವಲ 6 ತಿಂಗಳೊಳಗೆ ಈಗ ಮತ್ತೆ ಕಾಲು ಹಿಡಿಯುವ ಪರಿಸ್ಥಿತಿ ಬರಬಾರದಿತ್ತು ಎಂದು ನೆಟ್ಟಿಗರು ಕಿಡಿಕಾರಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಪ್ರಧಾನಿ ಮನಮೋಹನ್ ಸಿಂಗ್ ರವರು ಜ್ಞಾನಿ ಮತ್ತು ತುಂಬಿದ ಕೊಡ. ಅವರು ಮೋದಿ ರೀತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಬಡಾಯಿ ಕೊಚ್ಚಿಕೊಂಡು ತುಳುಕುವುದಿಲ್ಲ ಎಂದಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ಮನಮೋಹನ್ ಸಿಂಗ್ ರವರ ವಿರುದ್ಧ ಕುಚೋದ್ಯ ಬೇಡ. ಪ್ರಪಂಚದ ಅತ್ಯುತ್ತಮ ಪ್ರಧಾನಿ ಅವರು, 2008ರಲ್ಲಿ ಮನಮೋಹನ್ ಸಿಂಗ್ ರವರು ಭಾರತದ ಪ್ರಧಾನಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದಾಗ ಪ್ರಪಂಚವೇ ಆರ್ಥಿಕ ಹಿಂಜರಿತದಿಂದ ಮಲಗಿದ್ದರೆ, ಅರ್ಥಿಕವಾಗಿ ಭಾರತ ಎಚ್ಚರವಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಆದರಿಂದು ಮೋದಿ ಪ್ರಧಾನಿ ಅವಧಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅರ್ಥಿಕವಾಗಿ ಭಾರತ ಮಲಗಿದೆ ಮತ್ತು ಪ್ರಪಂಚವೇ ಎಚ್ಚರವಾಗಿದೆ. ಹಾಗಾಗಿ ಮೋದಿಯೇ ಅಕ್ಸಿಡೆಂಟಲ್ ಪ್ರಧಾನಿ ಎಂದರೆ ತಪ್ಪಾಗಲ್ಲ ಎಂದು ನಾಗೇಶ್ ಅರಳಕುಪ್ಪೆ ಬರೆದಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

ಮೋದಿಯೇ ಕುಚೋದ್ಯದ ನೇತೃತ್ವ ವಹಿಸಿದರೆ ಉಳಿದವರಿಂದ ನಾಗರಿಕ ವರ್ತನೆ ನಿರೀಕ್ಷಿಸಬಾರದು. ನಮ್ಮ ದೇಶದ ಜನ ಕುಚೋದ್ಯ, ವಿಕೃತಿ, ಸಣ್ಣತನಗಳನ್ನು ಸಹಿಸಿದ ನಿದರ್ಶನ ಇಲ್ಲ!

In March 1983, Panjab University, Chandigarh awarded him Doctor of Letters and in 2009 created a Dr. Manmohan Singh chair in their economics department.[95] In 1997, the University of Alberta awarded him an Honorary Doctor of Law degree.[96] The University of Oxford awarded him an honorary Doctor of Civil Law degree in July 2005,[97] and in October 2006, the University of Cambridge followed with the same honour.[98] St. John’s College further honoured him by naming a PhD Scholarship after him, the Dr. Manmohan Singh Scholarship.[99] In 2008, he was awarded honorary Doctor of Letters degree by Benaras Hindu University[100] and later that year he was awarded an honorary doctorate degree by University of Madras.[101] In 2010, he was awarded honorary doctorate degree by King Saud University[102] and in 2013, he was awarded honorary doctorate degree by Moscow State Institute of International Relations.[103]

No doubt Manmohan Singh is best economist and did a lot of economic reformations ,but we the people vote for words not for works.
Yes! To the best of my knowledge as an outsider ‘aam aadmi’, he was and continues to be honest. ( Of course, so does Chidu by his outward appearance and composed responses). But not one PM or for that matter, any central or state minister in the past 70 years have done any good to our country. Every minister or the political parties lived only to break the population by ways more than caste, creed, community, religion, region etc. I never had the opportunity to hold my head high and walk, let alone abroad, rven in India. I am not great or well known. But today, thanks to the BJP’s honest discharge of its responsibilities under Modi, I look into the eyes of any and every individual, foreign or local and talk eloquently with pride. We don’t need top level qualifications. But we do need excellent ability and human quality to feel the pulse of the people of the country.
Nirmala Seetharaman called on Man Mohan possibly out of respect. But did any politician of any party other than BJP extend such courtesy to that great Orator and Statesman well known as Atalji?
We don’t have to talk much as long as we see long term future rather than short term benefits for our country.
If we have good suggestions to the country, let’s put them across but let’s be mature enough to stop criticising for every step.

But it is also true that he have no guts and he was just a puppet in the hands of Congress supreme
He is good administrator and Financial expert. But not politician like others and he cannot play the politics.
